He is laid back, honest and does not try so sell you the high price things. He actually cares for his patients.
All was fine for 13yrs of just deep cleanings. But a filling on the inside front of a molar was left oozing out the outside and wasn't trimmed and contoured. After a chunk fell off and pain the return trip ended up with the filling being removed and a new one installed - all without pain killer. Filling also ended up near enough to nerve that two days later a root canal was needed by a different dentist. After all this, it now needs a new crown. Very disappointed and consider the procedure rough.
Well I have never had a bad experience from the wonderful ladies who check you in to the dentist.
Absolutely love this place. I went from seeing the same dentist from the age of five till this year. My father started going to him and told me how they were so nice that I thought I would give it a try. .
In Jan/2016 I posted a "not so good" review. This was because I went in to check on a chipped crown on an implant that was 8 mos. old. Dr. Avason filed it down and sent me on my way. After looking at it and thinking about it I didn't think it was right to pay a "fortune" and have it break in such a short time. I went back in and spoke to him frankly and he replaced the crown and I paid for the cost of it only. Dr. Avason restored my confidence and trust. He truly came through. Another 5 star rating! Just about everything regarding Avason Family Dentistry is "5 star", starting with Dr. Avason (professionally and personally) all the way down to his staff, who are awesome.
AWESOME is the only word for this practice. Dr. Avason and the girls on his staff are the best. Scared to death of going to dentist offices in my past but I am now stress free without worry when it's my time to go. I would recommend and tell everyone to visit this practice. I never thought going to a dentist would be this easy. All the staff is exceptionally sweet and so pleasant to talk to. This is an extreme caring dentist and all of his staff show it also. Thank you Dr. Avason for all you do!
Dr. Avason is the BEST!!! Not only is he extremely knowledgeable about dentistry, but he is also well educated and informative about the relation between oral hygiene and other chronic illnesses or diseases. You know he truly cares because he takes the time to listen to any concerns and answer any questions you may have, no matter how long that may take. He's a doctor who wants to know YOU, instead of one of those doctors who appears for a few moments, making you feel like just another random patient in a long line of others. Dr. Avason and his team do everything possible to make you feel comfortable and relaxed, which is a rare talent when it comes to dentistry! He also called the evening of my surgery to check on how I was doing and gave me his cell number in case I had any questions or concerns (as other reviewers have also stated) which is above and beyond! That's proof, in my opinion, of just how much he truly cares about his patient's well-being and the extraordinary medical services he provides. The entire staff at Avason Family Dentistry is AWESOME and I cannot say enough good things about them!
